Overview

Job Doctors International™ came about when Jim Villwock began helping his friends, mostly executives he met in business networking and career transition groups. His book, Whacked Again! – Secrets to Getting Back on the Executive Saddle, was originally written not to be published but to help those in the revolving door of job loss every eighteen to twenty-four months. Unfortunately, the situation for all employees is such that today no one appears safe. Due to the strong reception and endorsement of Whacked Again!, Jim published the book to help others he could never meet or help personally.

Soon, endorsements from major groups indicated that the book was meeting needs far beyond the original executive audience. Golden Key (world’s largest College Honour Society) partnered with Jim due to rave reviews from 25-35 year old Golden Key members. Vistage (world’s largest CEO organization) supported the concepts for employment and also business owners. The Atlanta Business School Alliance (college alumni of all ages from top U.S. business schools) called the process revolutionary. Clearly, the message of Whacked Again! is helping others.

To help as many people as possible, Jim founded Job Doctors International™ to build upon the Whacked Again! concepts and expand into new areas clients wanted to understand. Today, Jim is available for speaking engagements, continuing to add new books and resources, and offering seminars, personal career coaching, and Jobpreneurship Advisory Services™.

Job Doctors International™ is designed to take these messages worldwide and, over time, provide additional resources and certified local Job Doctors to serve our clients.

Career Coaching Methodology

We call ourselves Job Doctors not because we have PhDs or MDs or other university doctorate certification.  We are Job Doctors because we have business experience far beyond the classroom work of universities. In business, formal doctorates are few because what counts is not theory but business acumen, leadership, innovation, performance, and proven results.  In the business world, we have far more than a doctorate education and now want to help others succeed.

However, we use the medical doctor’s model to explain our career coaching methodology.

Diagnosis

Our first step is to identify your history, where you are now, who you really are, where you want to go, and where the roadblocks are which keep getting in your way. This discovery process becomes the foundation to enlighten, focus, and energize our clients for the treatment plan.

Treatment

Using time tested insider principles and Job Doctor customized strategies, we will help you understand how to separate yourself from the masses, whom we call commodities. The goal is to help you develop a competitive advantage toward getting your dream job, keeping your job, getting a promotion, or growing a business.

Prevention

Getting a job (health) is one thing. Keeping a job (health) and getting stronger (promotions or new business) is another. We help by providing the truth about what goes on behind the scenes. We develop strategies with you for your own unique personal situation to help you maximize your growth potential.

Elective Help

Sometimes a client knows what help they want. For those who have a specific issue or roadblock, Job Doctors is also available to work with you.

Jim Villwock thrives on innovation and results. You might call him an intrapreneur, an entrepreneur, and a jobpreneur who also is the author of the book Whacked Again! which is a roadmap on how to get a job and the book Trusted Relationships which explains the secret to lasting success. His approach, experience and work with executives in transition sets him apart from traditional career coaches. Jim is also the creator of Jobpreneurship™ which combines personal development with best of breed business sales and marketing techniques for getting jobs, improving careers, and growing businesses.

As an intrapreneur, Jim spent 21 years climbing the ladder in Fortune 500 companies where he:

  • Helped create a service solution business from scratch to $1 billion with zero company product in a manufacturing cultural environment.
  • Created a virtual global organization supporting 80 countries where subsidiary country managers asked him to expand his control in their countries.
  • Innovated twenty new paradigms for world class procurement that are still being used today and are still far more advanced than most companies use – resulting in astounding results in high tech and chemical industries:
    • His organization generated auditable profit contributions exceeding $70 million per year. Total savings exceeded $480 million.
    • Jim inherited a Malcom Baldridge award function which claimed to be world class – yet he generated $27 million in profit contribution in the first year.
  • Redefined sales channels and partnerships:
    • Jim took over a manufacturing software group with $2 million in sales and transformed it into over $60 million in new sales during the first year.
    • Assisted large distributors (>$20 billion in revenue) to expand globally.
    • Redefined the channel strategy for the world’s largest networking solutions company while reducing global parts cost by $20 million.

As an entrepreneur, during the last 8 years, Jim created a new company in the U.S. for a European parent and created two companies of his own; including IEM Group, Inc. which puts money into client company pockets through indirect expense management. During this same period of time, Jim began helping fellow executives to learn how to sell and market themselves.

Jim now adds Job Doctors International, LLC as his fourth start-up where he created the Jobpreneurship™ curriculum. Jim defines Jobpreneurship™ as the art of creating and managing one’s career through the lifecycles that we all face; whether finding jobs, getting promotions, going out on one’s own to start their own business, or growing existing businesses. Client offerings include public speaking, resources, seminars, career coaching, and Jobpreneurship Advisory Services™.

The perspective is from being the decision maker who hires others and from the buying manager who decides who will get the deal.

Jim is passionate about helping and teaching others. He is a member of Kettering Career Network (over 700 C-Level executives) and is on the board of the Atlanta chapter of the Financial Executive Networking Group (over 32,000 top financial executives nationwide). Job Doctors International™ is his way of giving back the global community.

Jim holds a MBA from North Texas University, where he graduated magna cum laude; a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary; and a bachelor’s degree from Golden Gate University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
